About the music:
Shannon Vetter is a Louisville, Kentucky musician, teacher and advocate for mental healthcare. Through PeteFest, The Pete Foundation aims to raise awareness for mental health advocacy while providing a fun, exciting, thought-provoking, and truly inspiring experience for all ages. In addition to spreading the love and appreciation of music, culture, art, and community through local artists and businesses, PeteFest focuses on environmental conservation and outdoor recreation."
Shannon is also a member of Big Atomic, a jam/funk/rock band. Shannon covers saxophone, guitar and vocals along with Ben Vogepohl (drums), Matt Robinson (percussion/vocals), Conner Powell (bass guitar), Micah Greene (guitar/vocals), Brandon Bell (saxophones), Michael Vettraino (guitar).
Shadwick Wilde was born in Boston, then grew up in San Francisco, Havana, and Amsterdam, before coming to Kentucky at 16-years-old. He is the singer-songwriter of Louisville indie rock outfit Quiet Hollers, Wilde's online bio describes his journey from high-school-drop-out into hardcore-punk bands to a recovery program at 23-years-old for alcohol and drug abuse where he would write his solo-debut 13-song album Unforgivable Things (2010). Next, he joined with Quiet Hollers to release three LPs, tour Europe and criss-cross North America.
In 2020, Wilde released the single "Rain," a cautionary tale inspired by Greta Thunberg and the climate crisis, with a solo LP expected within the year.
The Low Glow is rooted in Louisville and thrives on environmental and social advocacy through music. The new band will close out the event with jam rock from Brian Payne on drums, Jason Logsdon on bass and lead vocals, Joe Bowers providing guitar and backing vocals, and Woody Woodmansee on keys. The Low Glow describes its talents: "We make Quality jams for people that like Quality jams." Expect to hear those quality jams later in 2020 when they will release their debut album. The Low Glow is Kentucky-humble in their explanation of the band's talent:
"We haven't been asked to leave anywhere yet and we're pretty proud of that."
